Mechanical Design and Manufacturing

Mechanical design and engineering   Service composition: Jérôme Guigand (Department Manager/Mechanical Studies and Achievements) Alexis Marié (Design Studies) Jean-Philippe Dugal (Mechanical achievements) Hugo Bauduin (Mechanical achievements) Vira Davouloury (Mechanical achievements) The department has a dual mission: Propose, through studies, solutions adapted to the projects and requests of all ISMO teams and departments. Respond to requests for mechanical production of experimental parts or assemblies. A precise study of a project, in close consultation with the requesting parties, generally leads to the [...]

Relaxation dynamics of excited molecules

The dynamics of molecular systems initially excited in the visible-UV spectral range are analysed on different time scales, with a particular focus on the competition between all the relaxation pathways.

Spectroscopies applied to astrophysics

The electronic, vibrational and/or rotational structure of a wide variety of species of astrophysical interest (molecules, grains, solids) is studied using radiation ranging from millimetre wavelengths to the vacuum ultraviolet.

Photoinduced Dynamics

Below, you will find some of our research topics. The common factor is the excitation/ionization of species (atoms/molecules/ions) by one or more photons. Our research focuses specifically in the detection of the resulting charged photoproducts (ions/electrons) from which we can infer the mechanism of interest. This research can be decomposed into: Time-resolved studies: we use a combination of ultrafast laser pulses (1 fs = 10-15s) to pump the system of interest and probe it at a later time. By scanning [...]
